Message From The President
It is an immense privilege to serve as the President of the Miami-Dade Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Founded in 1909, the NAACP is America’s largest civil rights organization. For more than 100 years this organization has dedicated itself to the struggle against injustices and inequality for all Americans and the Miami-Dade Branch remains committed to these efforts.
We are at a new beginning, a time for each of us to move from a position of apathy to one of meaningful participation for change and the betterment for all our communities. In this move, we must remember to engage our young people who will stand and work with passion, commitment and dedication. No one person standing alone can effectuate change; it is the collaboration of our diversified communities who dare to confront injustices and inequality that will ultimately make a difference in our society. We must find ways through our united voices to bring about change. Yes there are many challenges, but with your support, commitment, participation and voice we can, stand, speak and strive for what is correct and just. To this end, I invite and urge each of you to become an active member of the NAACP and provide your support to the cause of eliminating injustice and inequality for all Americans.
Committed to the Struggle,

Bishop Victor T. Curry, President |
